The competition aims to select the best three solutions to face future pandemics in the world.

About SolvIEEE it!

SolvIEEE it! It is a competition that seeks to find innovative ideas based on problems that need to be solved. In the competition, groups of students must solve a problem using the principles of agile development techniques such as Design Thinking, Scrum and Kanban and Canvas.

SolvIEEE it: Facing Pandemic with Ideas

The coping of Covid-19 has been a challenge for everyone, in this context the competition goals to select the best three solutions to face future pandemics in the world. Thus, we intend that the PES Chapters Representative Students show alternatives on how to contribute to projects in this area, as students and future engineers in the PES field.

Solution Development

The teams must have a brainstorm, where all points discussed and aiming at aligning the problem perspectives. During the brainstorm, the entire group must collaboratively discuss ideas that can be combined, adapted and improved without criticism and judgment. If mentor guidance is required, it can be requested.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice. As we can see in Figure 1:

Figure 1 – The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

So, the teams will have to find sustainable and innovative solutions.
